McMinnville Lumber: Quality Pole Building Kits

Thanks for your interest in McMinnville Lumber’s Quality Pole Building Kits. Typically, you are seriously considering building your new pole building yourself. We can help! It is our philosophy that if we do our job correctly you can build your kit, be proud of it, show it to your friends, and have a great time doing it. Our job starts now!

The first thing you will notice about us is that we ask a lot of questions just to give you a quote! The reason is simple: we want to sell you the building you want, not just the one that is convenient for us to sell (we do not have such a kit). Now, if you want one of our basic, as-advertised kits, that is fine- we do want you to know what is and isn’t included, so you are not surprised or disappointed at delivery time.

One of the tools we use to deliver quality to our customers is the software programs we developed. These programs enable us to quote you a custom kit, hence all those questions. The software also analyzes the structure for code compliance, prints out metal cutting & trim lists, pick lists for lumber, hardware, etc. These are invaluable as every kit is different, and without the computer small and not-so-small parts tend to be left out.

Now is a good time to bring up the competition. You are getting other brochures and quotes, of course. But they do not have the same computer tools as we do; it is that simple. No other pole building kit supplier prints a custom set of construction instructions and a custom set of full size blueprints. We invite you to come visit us, we have sample sets of instruction booklets at the yard (sorry, we do not mail out these sample booklets). Compare our instructions and blueprints, with anyone’s (yes, 24 x 36 blueprints, not the generic 8-1/2x11, 3 pages for everyone).

We triple check every kit that we ship. Quality is striving to get it right the first time. Our goal is to supply you with every nut, bolt, shim, and widget that you will need to build your kit. We obviously do not supply gravel or concrete (our amazing instructions do compute how much you need for your post holes and footings). This is one of the big reasons to purchase a kit: you don't have to go running around looking for more stuff rather than spending your time building the kit.

Quality to us means getting our customer the kit he wants, on time, complete, with custom detailed instructions and blueprints. We devote quite a lot of time to each quote, even with the computer, so it takes us a couple of days, on average, to get back to you with your custom quote. We keep you on the phone for ten minutes asking all these questions about your building, while our competition really only wants to know the building size and when you intend to buy (was this guy selling used cars yesterday?). We do not have salesman on commission, just knowledgeable people; if they don’t know the answer, they will find someone who does. Never any sales pressure from us, we don’t make blind sales calls, or even follow up leads, such as your inquiry to us. If you are interested, we know you will use our toll free line to contact us! Our fax line is available if you call us to have it turned on (it is NOT a 24 hour fax line), just fax us your specifications and or sketch, and we will get back to you if we have any questions. Speaking of fax, we can fax your quote to you, if you prefer.
